New Walkers Sunbites Crispy Crackers, Pitta Bakes and Crackers & Dip

Sunbites have launched some exciting new additions to their range of multigrain snacks; Crispy Crackers, Pitta Bakes, and Crackers & Dip. The oven baked Crispy Crackers and Pitta Bakes are available in several foodie inspired varieties using all natural flavours and are free from MSG and artificial colours. I love finding alternatives to regular crisps so I was excited to receive a selection of these snacks to review.

The new Sunbites Pitta Bakes, are available in several flavours: Vintage Cheddar and Caramelised Onion, Roasted Red Pepper and Chilli and Oven Roasted Onion and Rosemary. The Sunbites Crispy Crackers are available in four flavours; Cream Cheese and Chive, Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli, Oven Roasted Onion and Rosemary, and Lightly Salted.

Sunbites Pitta Bakes: I was sent the Oven Roasted Onion & Rosemary flavour to review. These oven baked pitta snacks have a lovely crunchy texture, much firmer than regular crisps, with a generous amount of seasoning. They have the expected flavours of onion and rosemary but also delicious notes of garlic and cheese coming through strongly too. These are great for dipping, especially with some houmous.

Sunbites Crispy Crackers: The Sunripened Sweet Chilli flavour have an unusual oval shape and a surprisingly light and crunchy texture. I really enjoyed the flavour of these, they're quite sweet with a tomato flavour (and looking at the ingredients there is tomato in these) and a chilli kick at the end. They're almost like a chilli ketchup flavour (that should be a suggestion in the next Walkers choose a flavour compeition!) and are very moreish.

Sunbites Crackers & Dip: This is interesting new product; each box contains a pack of Sunbites Crackers and also a large pot of either a sweet onion or salsa dip. There are two flavours available; Caramelised Red Onion Chutney with Lightly Salted Crackers, and Sundried Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Salsa with Lightly Salted Crackers.

I received the Lightly Salted Crackers with Caramelised Red Onion Chutney, which is a deliciously sweet and tangy dip. I was surprised by how big the pot of dip is - definitely enough for several servings (it was also delicious with the Sunbites Pitta Bakes!). I had this at home so I just popped the rest in the fridge to save for later. The whole thing is very tasty and the combination of the multigrain, slightly salty, crackers with the caramelised onion dip is an ideal snacking pairing.

Overall, we've really enjoyed all varieties we tried from the new Sunbites range. I would definitely purchase the Pitta Bakes and Crispy Crackers in the future as a flavourful alternative to crisps. My kids are already fans of the original Sunbites Multigrain Snacks and I'm sure the new Pitta Bakes and Crispy Crackers will be popular as savoury treats for their lunch boxes.
